2020 Covid Pandemic
COVID-19 Public Awareness, Food Relief, and Medical Supplies Program
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Clinic Nepal actively implemented various initiatives to prevent the spread of the virus and provide essential support to communities in need. Our efforts focused on raising awareness, particularly among the general public. By educating communities about safety measures and hygiene practices, we worked to reduce the spread of COVID-19 while also promoting both physical and mental well-being. In addition to public awareness campaigns, our program provided immediate economic relief and emergency medical supplies, including oxygen support for COVID-19 holding centers and hospitals in Chitwan. These efforts were carried out in coordination with the Government of Nepal and local government bodies to ensure an efficient and effective response.
Food Relief Program
To help alleviate the economic hardships brought on by the pandemic, Clinic Nepal provided essential food rations to 290 families in need. Clinic Nepal also distributed food rations to organizations and groups preparing meals for vulnerable groups, including street people, students, and daily wage workers stranded in Kathmandu due to the nationwide lockdown. Food deliveries were carried out across different parts of Kathmandu, ensuring that those most affected by the COVID-19 crisis had access to basic necessities. This food relief initiative played a crucial role in supporting struggling communities during one of the most challenging periods of the pandemic.
Clinic Nepal is there to help. Relief Aid is support to communities affected by disasters, whether natural or human-made, to reduce suffering and assist in their recovery. Essential supplies like food, clean water, medical assistance, shelter, and hygiene are often the most important needs brought in the immediate aftermath of any crisis.
Since relief efforts are often complex, they require collaboration between Clinic Nepal, other Aid organizations, the Nepal government, and local communities to ensure that aid reaches those who need it most.
